Season 1 Episode 3 Pilisvörösvár
After Germany and France, all the members of the Trina Orchestra are now eager to meet again in Hungary! If the organization is entrusted this year to the musicians of Pilisvörösvár for the hospitality, the visits and the surprises; all the team prepares, each one in its country, so that this third opus is with the height of the two preceding ones.
A busy work programme, cultural and language exchange evenings and visits to the host country are the ingredients for a successful adventure.

O napot, that’s it, the Trina adventure is back on track. It was hard to wake up at 3am for a meeting at 4am on the Sémaphore car park. Once the bus arrived we drove for 7 hours.
Around 11am, after being stuck in the traffic jams of the Paris tunnels, we arrived at Roissy airport and had a picnic. Then we went through the security checkpoints. Some were extremely tense. We went through the door of the plane, and it was two hours of excitement.
When we arrived in Budapest, reassured that we were back on dry land, we set off for an hour’s ride in a minibus. We arrived tired but happy in Pilisvörösvàr.
First hard day, first reading of the pieces. This year’s programme looks to be quite difficult but the orchestra seems to be up to the task. Some teachers were already present last year, others are new to the adventure, which brings a different and enriching point of view to this human and musical experience. Despite the tiredness of the trip, the first evening was particularly lively, we were all delighted to meet again for this last episode of the Trina. The Hungarians are organising today’s party, which we are all looking forward to, and we hope to have a great time!
Well recovered from our emotions after a very successful Hungarian evening, we got back to work with our teachers to deepen the scores we had deciphered yesterday. We took advantage of the sun to rehearse outside and then we rested in the shade of the weeping willow! We are looking forward to what the Germans have prepared for us tonight, and are eagerly thinking about the French evening tomorrow! Szia !

Today was the third day of rehearsal, which started with a sausage breakfast!
We rehearsed by section, then the woodwinds and brass separately, and finally the whole orchestra together. The sound of the orchestra is beginning to take shape and we are enjoying playing together more and more. In addition, the installation of two inflatable pools on the stadium has allowed us to strengthen the bonds and the Trinidadian atmosphere is becoming more and more crazy!
After lunch, the Trina orchestra enjoyed a brilliantly organized evening of outdoor team games with the French. We ended the day with a tasting of French cheese, charcuterie and wine and hope that tomorrow will be even better.
A new day is coming to an end, we have almost finished the programme but there is still some way to go to improve the rendering of the different pieces.
After a hard day’s work, it’s time to rest, because tomorrow we spend the day at Lake Balaton with all the musicians and the sun. Yesterday, the evening prepared by the French was just as much appreciated as those of the Germans and Hungarians.
Now we are all looking forward to the surprise that our hosts have prepared for us this evening, accompanied by a local band. The evening will be spent in a joyful and relaxed atmosphere, despite the stress of the concert which is fast approaching.

After an intensive week of rehearsals, we arrived at the climax of our Hungarian stay, the final concert.
We rehearsed all day long in this new hall whose acoustics were immediately pleasant. At 4pm we stopped and took a little rest with our host families for the weekend.
When we arrived in Budapest, reassured to be back on dry land, we left for an hour’s ride in a minibus. We arrived tired but happy in Pilisvörösvàr.
The concert is approaching… we try on the new Trina III polo shirts, they are to our liking, we are ready for the final battle. The Hungarians as well as the German and French delegations came in great numbers.
At 7.00 pm, the sound of the timpani opening “Open air” gets us into the swing of things and it’s the beginning of two beautiful hours of music. We have to deal with a receptive and warm audience which motivates us even more.
At 10.00 pm it’s the end, we leave the stage tired but at the same time happy to have been able to participate in a concert that will undoubtedly remain in the memories of everyone for many years.

Last day of the Trina, in relaxation, with a visit to the Hungarian capital: Budapest.
On arrival, the Trinidadians were surprised to see a fly boat ready to set sail on Johann Strauss’s beautiful blue Danube, now a little grey. It didn’t take long for the beauty of its banks to take effect under the important tri-national objectives. Once back on land, we were able to wander through the streets of the capital, without forgetting the little ice-cream break, which is so important in these 38°C temperatures.
After some shopping, and the discovery of beautiful buildings, we stormed the famous palace of the Hungarian kings, the Buda Castle. From the top of its ramparts, a breathtaking view awaits you to the tune of traditional music, which may be a bit touristy but is still enjoyable.
The last day means the last evening before the big departure. Moving speeches, gift distributions and bracelets made in Trina punctuate this moment. In order to give a second tune to this orchestra, a balloon release concluded this Hungarian episode. On a tune of “Chati-Chato”, revisited by Pierre and Josselin inflated by helium, we watch, in the distance, the Trina Orchestra leave for new adventures.
